We are so proud to be part of the 3rd AEMC Conference on Music Communication and Performance which was featured on a previous blog. Animo was invited to perform (live) but due to COVID restrictions, we are no longer flying to Italy but using Microsoft Teams to “meet” with musicians from ALL over the world!
Below is a link to the local news (Google translate can be used to read the article).
The Keynote speaker is the renowned professor, academic and composer Lawrence Kramer whose Quartet no. 8 'Reflections and Memories' will be performed by the winners of the AEMC chamber music competition, the Eurasia Quartet (Netherlands).
It is wonderful to have comrades in this quest for finding the essence of music; what keeps it alive and breathing.
Creativity is a powerhouse that propels us beyond this realm and we are elated to be part of this group of musicians who believe that Classical Music is alive and well and here to soothe and inspire us all!
When Animo ‘went to work’ we recorded our first commissioned work written by the German Composer Lukas Piel titled ‘The Journey of Alan Kurdi’. Sarah prepared a video combining that ‘live’ performance and others from our Launch and our promotional videos.
Alan Kurdi’s journey is now our journey.
As this is not a conference that can be shared, we very much hope that you will enjoy watching the video we prepared from Monday 29th June onwards.
Stay safe and creative,
Animo June 2020
