March 2021, Phase 1 of our 2021 Composers' 'new music project' and our composer of the day is Jovana Backovic.
Technology created a bit of havoc for Jo (laptop died, connection lost, no midi, she changed from laptop to phone to computer -all quite seamlessly!) but this didn't deter from the marvel of what happened next.
Jo suggested that the piece could be in a many different movements, each with their own character, she then setup a score on Musescore and she started inputting her ideas. Bar by bar, first the flute part and then the piano part, we soon had a fantastic start to our piece.
