It's official, There's nothing like live music to change your world for the better!
We are so grateful to our fantastic audience for coming along to this first 'Jailbreak' concert. It was 161 days since the Lockdown.
A few months since we last performed live and although it was a shock to the system to be playing 'for real', it was so wonderful to hear that our music touched everyone at a very deep level and to be performing 'in the moment'.
It is true that music is a healer; everyone said how much better they felt afterwards. Yay!
I am just preparing a small video of the reviews we received from that evening (will go live on the 23rd August 2020). Lukas Piel's piece was once again a composition that had everyone in tears - and us. It gets us every time.
We will follow this concert with a few more until we can no longer play outdoors.
The highlight of the concert was the picnic afterwards. Our audience brought food and drinks (including champagne!) and we provided seats, cushions, the atmosphere and our music.
Perfect recipe for the start of something that could very easily turn into the Summer Festival that Animo were going to organise this summer and due to the pandemic had to be cancelled. 2021 is going to be the year - watch this space!
At the end of the concert we sung three songs together always being mindful of social distancing. 'We shall overcome', 'Dream a little Dream' and 'Summertime' (the weather was perfect that evening!) were a solace to our soul.
We are already planning for the next 'Jailbreak' concert. Visit our Events page and subscribe to our blog so you are kept up to date with our activities.
