It's party time again! We are celebrating the start of our 2021 releases with 'Ex Arcadia' (as we've done before, we are publishing our upcoming releases on HearNow).
We are so happy to be able to show you some of our work since the world turned upside down. Our 'ANIMO two' releases start with 'Ex Arcadia' and we hope to bring you the entire album (with bonus tracks) by December 2021.
Joseph Howard, our Launch composer, wrote 'Ex Arcadia' in 2019. Since then, we've been waiting to find the time and space to record it with all the notes and all the elements as it was supposed to sound. Despite the pandemic restrictions, we did go ahead as planned and we are very happy with the result. We hope you love it too! The piece has become part of Animo's identity as it is the one that starts our promotional video.
Adam Bertenshaw, our sound technician, created a stunning recording out of the many different layers of this piece which had to be recorded separately and also together for the final video which premieres on June 4th at 12:30 on YouTube.
It was an almost heroic effort on Adam's part who, if you remember, was confined to his very cold outdoor gazebo. Perhaps it was overkill (and I don't use that word lightly) but Covid is a real threat and we wanted to keep each other safe.
So, 3 months on, 'ANIMO two' is starting to shape-up and gather speed with the release of Joe's piece.
We are grateful for the amazing composers who are writing for us and for all of you who care to listen and connect with our work.
